Support Native Youth Through Film
Snow Mountain Ranch is not only providing entertainment but also raising support for a noble cause. Donations are encouraged and will go directly to the Tlingit and Haida Native Youth Snowsports Camps in Alaska. These camps offer Native students in grades 3-5 opportunities to engage in winter sports and connect with their cultural heritage, breaking down barriers in accessing snowsports.
Kristen Spronz, the Social Responsibility Director at Snow Mountain Ranch, expressed the event's importance, stating, "This event is a wonderful way to bring the community together, enjoy incredible films, and support breaking down the barriers to accessing snowsports for Native youth on their homelands." She encourages everyone to attend and contribute to this vital initiative.
A Unique Cultural Experience
Attending this screening isn't just about viewing films; it's about engaging in conversations around contemporary issues facing Native communities today. The films offer a gateway into indigenous storytelling, showcasing the rich culture and experiences of Native peoples. This community-focused event nurtures both cultural appreciation and fosters a sense of unity as people come together to learn and support.
Beyond the impactful cinema, those who donate will receive a special thank you in the form of a free cross-country skiing or snowshoeing trail pass, available for use at Snow Mountain Ranch. This not only incentivizes contributions but also promotes an active lifestyle among community members.
Be Part of the Change
As the event draws closer, it presents an excellent opportunity for families, singles, and homeowners interested in arts and culture in Denver to support an extremely worthy cause while enjoying a vibrant community atmosphere. Families can bond over a night of entertainment while also teaching their children about cultural heritage and the importance of giving back to the community.
If you’re looking to make a difference while enjoying a fantastic evening, mark your calendars for December 12! Remember to RSVP for free, and consider making a donation to support the future generations of Native youth.
