Celebrating 25 Years: The Voice of Boulder
Five guys. Five microphones. No instruments. For 25 years, Boulder’s Face Vocal Band has showcased the profound impact of human voices blending in harmony, building not just a unique musical identity, but also a devoted community of listeners. Their upcoming 25th-anniversary concert at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre is set for Sunday, November 8, 2026, offering a nostalgic journey for long-time fans and a grand introduction for those yet to experience the spectacle of an all-vocal performance.
A Journey Beyond Boulder’s Borders
Founded in Boulder, Face Vocal Band has made remarkable strides in their genre, becoming the first all-vocal group to headline Red Rocks. Their sound reflects an impressive fusion of layered harmonies and vocal percussion, allowing them to convey everything from melody to rhythm without the help of traditional instruments. This innovative style has garnered them national acclaim, including appearances on NBC’s The Sing-Off, performances at Edinburgh’s Festival Fringe, and collaborations with renowned artists like Jon Bon Jovi and Culture Club.
Community Roots: Ties That Bind
Despite their national success, Face Vocal Band’s connection to Boulder remains vital. They pride themselves on fostering community and providing memorable experiences for music lovers. The significance of their local roots is highlighted by a recent accolade from Colorado Sound listeners, who voted Face as the “Artist You’d Drive 105.5 Miles to See.” This recognition speaks volumes about the enduring bond between the band and its loyal supporters.
A Celebration with Purpose
The Red Rocks concert not only serves as a milestone for the band but also aims to impact future generations through music education. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be used to support the TIGER Grants, which benefit school music programs across Colorado. These funds will assist with vital resources like instruments, technology, and guest clinicians. The fundraising goal of $10,000 underscores Face Vocal Band’s commitment to giving back to their community.
